Dear HD 3 Democrats,
There have been many "thank-yous" and I wanted to add my own to each of you for your help in electing strong leadership for Colorado. It is your hard work and commitment that made it all possible.
There are so many of you to thank for phone banking, delicious meals while doing it, our VAN consultants and last but not least those of you who joined together with me to deliver food and water to our voters who stood in line for hours to cast their ballots.
It has been a heart warming experience. I look forward to our first post election House District meeting in December! Please note that we taking a well-deserved break this month, and that there will be no HD3 Meeting in November.
On Thursday, the House Democrats caucused, and it took a wonderful long time to read out the 39 House Districts represented by Democrats across Colorado. From there, I immediately left to attend the Reforming States Group conference on health care reforms across the United States, Canada, England and Australia. We can learn alot from these groups to apply here in Colorado.
In the weeks ahead I will keep you apprised of how our Democratic legislature is setting about its work of doing the peoples business.
