This bill makes records and information related to witness protection matters confidential. The records and information shall not be discoverable in court unless during private review a judge concludes that the materials are necessary for the resolution of an issue before the court. This bill follows HB 06-1379 (Garcia/Spence) to give Colorado law enforcement agencies more tools related to witness protection.
