Welcome to my state senate website and thank you for visiting. It’s an honor to represent the 27th district in the Colorado General Assembly – a district that includes portions of Arapahoe County from Deer Trail on the east through Greenwood Village on the west. The 2009 legislative session just finished marked the first year of my second four-year term serving in the state senate. In November 2008, I was elected to serve a second term as a state senator. My senate colleagues elected me to serve as the Minority Caucus Whip.

This website can provide lots of information, including legislation that I’ve proposed and passed. It also includes information on my background and issues that I am passionate about. I’ve also included a mini-civics lesson about how Colorado government works.
